So where are terminating (10) 4" conduits in live 277/480 gear. Facilities is worried about vibrations and shavings so PM is asking for 6" KO cutter/punch and cup. We don't have one and are trying to avoid buying.

1. Why would 6" if you had to guess?
2. Really best way to do this with ko punch and cup? Any other way?

IMO a KO punch is the way to go, as to why he wants a 6", maybe he has a lot of reducing washers he wants to get rid of

If the top panel of the gear can be removed, then you have other options for cutting the holes, including having a metal shop do them for you

Yes I know but pm said has to be used due to using Chase nipple and something else

Sounds like the PM is not planning on using conduits and with bus duct right above I can see why he would plan on chase nipples
