Good afternoon - There is a facility that has a meter pedestal installed by the utility company. The pedestal is 400 amp with two 200 amp circuit breakers. Each circuit breaker is feeding a 200 amp panel. According to the utility they have bonded at the transformer. The panels then would be sub-panels with neutrals and grounds separated. Both panels are on the same building. One panel will serve a specific need while the other does the same. The question is: Does each panel require two ground rods or can they be tied together with one set of ground rods and a GEC? The other question was the size GEC? I stated, if copper, it only needs to be a #6. Please review and let me know. Thank you.
