They allways ask for dealer dealer account information if I call them for anything. Non dealers get refured to local installer dealers. I have not been impressed by the tec department. Seemed like I get a part time student / worker sitting at a PC answering the phone.
That's when people like me get a phone call like this:
We bought this unit at the box store because they had the best price and had someone elce install it. It does not work... Can you tell us how to fix it? Or can you come out and repair it under warrenty (and get paid what the factory decides a few months later after several phone calls)? That's when I say sorry we're booked up for months and I can't fix it over the phone.
I'm not jumping on you, I figure you did a fine install. Just saying don't expect much from the factory.
