I am taking a test and I was ask to find the general lighting load and the general rect load for a bank at 30,000 sqft.

I came up with 152,500, but that was not an option the only option that came close to my answer was 151000. I used the 220.44 for the general rect load was that right?

How did you arrive @ 152,000?
I did a quick calc and came up with 125,000

Per table 210.12 I get 30,000' x 3.5 watts per foot= 105,000, all of which gets calculated at 100%

Per 220.44 I get 30,000 va, the first 10,00 are figured at 100%, the remaining 20,000 at 50%, giving us 20,000 va for receptacles.

These two total 125,000 va for lighting and receptacles.
