I need to install a generator and ATS for this 200A meter combo with feed through lugs, what are my options to have the branch circuits from the meter/combo on the generator?
The stuff I would recommend (Janitza UMG-800 family, Schneider PowerLogic BCPM) is probably overkill for only eight poles, but maybe mentioning them will give you a seed of what to look for.
On an installation like this, I frequently use a 200 amp ATS with distribution fed off the sub feed lugs. Move the breakers to the ATS. For the 200 amp sub feeds, tap the jumper wires that run from the ATS mechanism to the ATS bus bars with Polaris, or convert it to 2 hole lugs on the bus bar if that physically works.
