Looking for the section for wiring a standby generator breaker panel. Not the ATS.
Moving breakers form the main to a second panel to be run by the generator.
One ground and one neutral from the buss bars in the main panel (To kill eddy currents) plus ground both the panels together and then extensions of the hot (black) of each corresponding breaker that is moved. It looks to me that is how prewired generator breaker panels are wired.
Or, must I disconnect each and every ground and neutral for the corresponding breaker and lengthen all of those to run to the generator breaker panel ?
Generator panel is next to the main panel and connected together via a 1-1/2 inch galvanized nipple with metal nuts and plastic end nuts.
ATS is wired, no problem with it.
Just need info and NEC Sections for wiring the Generator breaker panel.
I cannot find information on this.
