I have an existing hospital to which we are adding a 275kW, 480Y/277V, Equipment branch only generator. We are also adding a 600kW, 208Y/120V Emergency Generator which will feed Life Safety and Critical branches.
We want to put these both on the same roof and if possible in the same Prichard Brown type enclosure.
My intent is to have the LS and Critical breakers in separate enclosures on the 600kW generator and to keep these isolated in accordance with the 08 code.
My concern is the cohabitation of the two generators in what is essentially the same room. I think it's ok as it's not much different from the instance where you have one generator feeding LS, Critical and Equipment. But because it's a bit unusual, I thought I'd solicit your collective wisdom.
thanks,
Mike
