Generator inlet and solar panel question

Hello Jay here from SWFL ! Need some suggestion. I have a customer who wants a 30 amp generator inlet " Interlock installed " . My question is since Solar Panels have started to become popular in this area, I want to know if I install inlet will that affect solar panel system? Ive never dealt to much with solars and want to make sure generator wouldn't interfere with the solar. They do have a 60 amp breaker for their solar also. Will it be fine with the backfeed from generator going to their grids ?

you need to check with the inverter manufacturer, some can have a generator on the system and some cannot.

Connect the solar as a line-side connected system and the interlock you provide between the generator and the main breaker would work fine, because the solar would be upstream of the main which would be open during generator operation.
