Generator Inlet Indoors?

In my '23 code update class I understood that generator inlets can not be installed indoors any longer. Working through section 702.12 it appears that only inlets for generators 15kw and less must be installed outside the building. 702.12(C) appears to allow the commercial style camlocks inlets indoors still.

Is there any other section prohibiting a generator inlet over 100amps indoors?

Where is the generator? Would there be an issue with the cord as Don has mentioned?

What's the purpose of allowing over 15KW but denying it by the rule for cords? Why not just say all inlets shall be outdoors?
