Generator install budget number

I got a call today from a repeat customer who was lookiing for a budget number for the install of an 80kw generator. I know there is lots of variabels but for an install price not including transfer switch as I asume this will be ordered with genset. I am guessing 15 -20,000? What do you think. I installed one close to this size for less but want to give a safe number. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Dave

Are you supplying the generator
 
I'm involved with a bunch of gen installs, some 80kw and some 100's. I'm not providing the gens or the ATS, and I'm doing electrical only - no pad work, no trenching or saw-cutting. The lowest priced install is just under $7K. The costliest one is about $23K. I guess that may not be of much help to you....

I would say that way more info is needed. What kind of distances and conditions are involved? I am assuming 3-phase, but we are getting ready to do a 70kw on a residence, so I am not sure. We have priced those installs from about 5k to 20k-plus.
