Generator load shedding

I am sorry if it was not clear.
I was not implying using back up generator for parrell operation..I do agree back up generator can not operate parrell with utility and prime mover for back up gnerators are not rated for continues operations and local environmental agency would regulate run hours per year (local & state law may differ based on fuel used for prime mover).
I think my reply was little indirect.

How about if you drive into a bat powered inverter for the excitation?
