When feeding a fire protection pump using a diesel generator as the alternate source, and with this generator feeding other loads, is it permitted by code to use the capacity "assigned" to the pump in other loads and shedding those loads by control only when the fire pump needs to start?

695.3 (B) (1) Generator capacity: Automatic shedding of one or more optional standby loads in order to comply with this capacity requirement shall be permitted. (allow normal starting and running of the motor driving the firepump.)
