If I have 150kW-480/277V-3phase-4wire generator,
1. How do I determine the kVA rating of the generator? (I am assuming it is 80% of 150kW, but I am confuse if asking for kVA vs. kVA RATING is different?)
2. How do I determine FLA of the generator?
3. How do I determine the breaker size of the generator?
4. How do I determine feeder size (conduit and wire)? I was told that conductors have to be 115% of the FLA, does this mean that once I find out the FLA of the generator, I take 115% of that and that is where I will base my feeder size?

1) Most 3 phase gensets are rated @.8 PF. So a 150 KW machine would be 187.5 KVA.
2) From the KVA
3) On modern packaged gensets this will be done by the manufacturer and included with the machine.
4) The 115% is for the leads from the generator to the breaker which is part of the genset package. You size you conductors based on the factory installed breaker rating.
