Will a 2000kw 4160volt generator produce 1200A? Is there calc to determine this KW to amperage output.

I think there might be something missing in your question..... are you actually wanting 1200 amps @ 4160 ?? That;'s supplying a small town

Just by eyeball but if you add in the power factor looks like less than 250 amps.

The equation works the other way too. 1,200 x 4,160 x √3 = 8,650 kW. (@1.0 pf)

Are you seeing a 1200A medium voltage circuit breaker and thinking the generator should put out that much? 1200A is the smallest MV metalclad breaker available, so the generator will likely put out much less.

A 2,000,000W generator typically has a 0.8pf relationship with the alternator, so it is likely rated at 2MW/0.8 = 2.5MVA. If you calculate Amperage from that at 4160V you will get 347A (at 0.8pf) maximum.
