Getting a Master Electrican license in NYC and its steps

Hello, I need to get a Master Electrician license in New York and I want to find out if anyone has any ideas on how ling this will take. I have a C-10 in California right now. I am told there is a theory test then a practical test the you go in front of a board etc. If anyone can give me the details that would be great or if there are any study materials you recommend as I know there are some different codes like no NM just MC/BX.

Please if you have any data please fill me in as I need to expand my company to NYC and need to make sure all is legal etc.
