The receptacle's are much older than that. Although the breaker panel is much neweronly if they were installed under the 2008 or later code
No, I installed the GFCI on the wall, under the switch.Is the GFCI receptacle at 12' AFF? If so that's not readily accessible.
As I understand it, the code requires GFCI for every outlet in a garage, because it might be used for outside work. Even a DIY might unplug power to a garage opener.
