GFCI ice/beverage dispenser

In the typical fast food or C-store with an area that has beverage and ice dispensing unless there is a sink involved I don't see GFCI as being required. If these were vending machines GFCI would be required. But I don't believe these are vending machines. Now the 2023 NEC would require GFCI for outlets on a "buffet" but I don't see this as a buffet.

I tend to agree with you but I wonder if this was overlooked. I assume this unit is out in the area accessible to customers.

As I look further at the 2023 language in 210.8 (B)(4) I guess that this would be now considered a buffet area and GFCI is required.
