A good question but he did say the microwave was not in use, so that doesn't necessarily apply to why is it tripping as the circuit likely was not overloaded enough for thermal magnetic trip to be the culprit.

If these are countertop appliances is not a code violation for those counter top outlets to be on same circuit as the fridge. The typical refrigerator anymore doesn't draw enough to be a major problem with overloading the circuit either. They are low draw but long run times as a general rule.

It was overload. Mixed matched, tried on other SABC. Consistent tripping on overload. Conclusion - new breaker trips much more quickly than the old.
