The title says it all.
On the HVAC blower motor in my garage, I replaced the standard recep with new 20A GFCI (it's what I had on hand).
However, every time the blower ramps up, the GFCI trips. Never had an issue on this circuit before. The AC is about 3yr old (Rheem Prestige).
If I plug in the blower to a recep round the corner, works fine. Resistance at the blower feed (blower unplugged) between line and ground, and neutral and ground on the order of 2.4 Meg-Ohms. Resistance between line and neutral ~19 ohms. Amperage between blower ground and jbox ground, ~2.4mA.
This is only when it is calling for cold air. If I just turn on the blower (single speed) it works fine, no GFCI trip.
Any help or direction to the appropriate reading/other posts, would be greatly appreciated.
