I am doing a job at a agricultural building one item i am installing is a cold vat. This equip. has a 240v compressor on it to keep the water cold. This area will be wet on the floor most of the time while they do their work. 547.5(3)G
only touches on 125v sp recpt. Do i need to gfci this compressor? If so code #

need to no nec only deals with 120,good idea yes
 
I don't think so, commercial building kitchens, roof top and bathrooms. Thats not to say you can't, it may be prudent to put one there. remember the code is a minimum requirement.
 
My thoughts were also along the lines of "it would be best to gfci it" however i could not find code on the subject and was wondering if i over looked it.
