NO, THEY DO NOT HAVE TO BE GFCI PROTECTED.

If they are not covered under 210.8 or some specific article section, such as 620.85, there is no requirement.

BTW, are you an inspector for Asheville or Buncombe County?

Brand new out of the box City of Asheville inspector. And I guess I heard a very broad interpretationa sp? of a osha reg.. It was the only place I could find it.

Thanks Roger, take care. Got to get ready for church tomorrow. After seeing some of the corespodences this weekend I think every one is looking for somthing constant and absolute.
