nec 250.122 tells you what size equipment ground to pull in a parelell feeder. Has anyone ever used the setting of the gfci on say a 1600 amp feeder, 480 volt only ,to protect the grounds. 250.122 talks about gfci protection rating not over the equipment ground size.

The provision to use GFP (ground fault protection, GFCI is not the correct term for this application) and a "standard" size EGC for each run of a parallel circuit was removed in the 2008 code. The previous rule required that the GFP be listed for the protection of the EGC. No such GFP was ever listed.
