I wire a lot of Boat Lifts. I live in the Holden Beach NC area. When wiring the gem remote control box do I have to feed it with GFCI? I am using 220/v. The motors will be wired at 220/v. When switching the motors from 110/v to 220/v then you have no neutral at the motor. You do not use the white wire. It is capped off.

Look at 210.8 (C). What wireing method are you using?

I am running 4 wires from house main panel, to subpanel, from subpanel to gem remote. From remote box to boat lift motors. gemremotes.com is the control panel I am hooking up on 240/v
