This Is In A Commercial Shopping Center. W/sheetrock Walls.

Mporter4 you will need to let us know whats going on before we can help you.

Is this receptacle for temp power?

Is this receptacle for a commercial kitchen?

Is an inspector asking for GFCI....did they mention a code section?

Most of the GFCI requirements can be found in 210.8 but there are others.

There Are Going To Be 5 Outlets Installed In A Coffee Shop Inside A Shopping Center. This Shopping Center Has 19 Seperate Units With A Firewall Between Each Unit. This Particular Unit Will Be A Coffee/sandwich Shop As I Mentioned Above. It Will Have A Drop Ceiling And Sheet Rock Walls. My Question Is Do I Need To Provide Gfci Breaker Or Receptical To These Outlets That Will Be In The Dinning Area .the Floor Will Be Painted Or A Type Of Acid Stain Finish. Is This Considered A Finished Floor Or Not?the Inspector Has Not Said Anything I Am Just Trying To Cover All Bases.

Look at the definition for a "Kitchen" in 210.8. If the installation does not meet this definintion then GFCI is not required. I suspect that at least some receptacles will be in the "Kitchen" but others will not.
