We have already replaced several that have failed to a substantialy less degree. Pretty sure it is moisture but it is not comming from the outside.

These were installed this fall.

Most likely we will disconnect all until we can figure out what is happening.
Tempted to let an AFCI work its magic. All emt on the inside of the building until it changes at a 4sq to MC. Not MWBC, EG wire throughout.

We have occasionaly found GFCI failures but not to this degree on the same job especially in so short of time frame.

Bad batch maybe, all bought at the same time? What brand? Leviton?

I haven't had any go out like that yet...

I've seen the same happen in a kitchen, All the GFCI were blown like that. They were not Leviton. I think P&S. We think the home was hit with a surge. Or a dropped nuetral.

As far as we know the only thing that has been in it is a polarity tester. FWIW we will send it to the mfg for a post mortem.
I have replaced GFI recpt that failed in a similar fashion. I suspected the problem to be moisture; they were floor outlets at a shopping mall where the janitorial crew would run over them with the riding floor mopper.

Let us know what you find. I never heard back from the manufacture when I sent mine in.

I found one like that last year and almost posted here also.

It had #10 terminated and thought perhaps that was the cause.

GFCI and AFCI on same Circuit

GFCI and AFCI on same Circuit

Question on the earlier comment on this post:

Can a brach circuit be supplied by an AFCI Breaker, and then have a GFCI receptacle at the first outlet to provide both AFCI and GFCI protection?
