Are GFCI's required in all outlets in commercial kitchens or just locations near water. Thanks

Yes, they are required everywhere in a commercial kitchen if you are under the 2005 code.

Ferno, there is no exception, it is all 125v 15 and 20 amp receptacles in a commercial kitchen.

Point out the repetitive exceptions under the dwelling unit GFCI requirements - Every location where a single receptacle is permitted instead of a GFCI is specifically referenced. Note the differences in the exceptions among the different locations.

Note the lack of exceptions in a residential bathroom - all 120V 15A & 20A receptacles require GFCI protection.

You are right. :)
