I have received a data sheet for an elevator. On there data sheet they are requesting a GFI circuit for the motor feeder to the Elevator. I have never hooked up an elevator on a GFI circuit. Is this a new code? I can not find anything that references a GFI circuit for an elevator.

I just wired one a few months back and we didn't need to install it on a GFCI circuit

Some times they require a gfci line to the motor controls in or den to connect the outlet that is placed inside and outside on the top of the car elevator.
Is the motor control supplied by a transformer?if yes. is it a delta P to delta S transformer?
