Don the new lock-out Gfci's will trip after a few hours. It seems they have a capacitor that will hold the contact in for a short time then they will just open. I was changing one the other day (a good one home owner didn't like the color) and after I removed it I must of hit the test button because it triped in my hand with out any wires connected to it.
Scared the devil out of me.
