gfi required for drinking water fountains?

i am trying to find out if gfi prection is required for drinking water fountains in an industrial plant enviroment?
 
The NEC does not require GFCI protection for that application.
680.2 ... Fountain. Fountains, ornamental pools, display pools, and reflection pools. The definition does not include drinking fountains.

Some were requiring GFCIs for drinking fountains and the words in bold above were added to the code to make it clear that the NEC does not require such protection.
