GFP in AFCI breakers

I only stated what I do, I never told anyone what they should do. Everyone must make up their own mind on this issue. Again, I'm simply stating as fact that I know what happens in my area. Is it right by the letter of the law? No. But is it wrong morally not to install AFCI's? In my opinion, no, it is not morally wrong since the AFCI itself is, as you put it, worthless and a con job.

See, there you go back to your BS “moral” high ground to try and justify doing something you know is incorrect. You are not saving anyone, do not play like you are some good guy hero.

We install stuff that is basically a rip off every day. Do a NEC load calc for a resi and come up with a number that means a 200A upgrade for a customer yet we all know that it prolly never see 80A in reality.

Do you go by code and comply or do save the world and leave the 100A old panel?

Need more examples?

Well i followed yours.......this had point #7 which stated>>>

my bold highlight.....tracking that down revealed this patent info

along with>>>>

there are also 70 odd images in the doc.

most of this is greek to me

~RJ~

I'd hope it's greek to you.

It's a patent for "an apparatus that facilitates the efficient and inexpensive compression and storage of video and/or audio on compact laser discs (commonly known as CDs) "

Oh please. Spare me your righteous indignation.

Well the example you picked is a pretty bad one since I tell people all the time that a 100 amp service is fine and they don't need to upgrade to 200 amps. ;)

Do not even think of trying to explain to me how the world works, pretty sure I know.

I have no way of knowing what you know.

But those who control and get what they want aren't following much rules. Not saying its always right, just how it is.

Really.....

Actually that is your line I believe. You seem to think you are above the law on some goofball holy crusade to spare the world against the horrors of AFCI.

Get real.

How are your actions going to affect any change?

You see it one way and I see it another. We are simply not going to agree.

If you have something constructive to say, please do it.

This whatever nonsense is annoying.

What we have here is a failure to delete the real troublemaker, who believes Mike Holt’s forum is his bully pulpit.
