Guess your stuck at work huh? I personally dont care what day you call it, if I get paid to stay home I'm down with it...

No I am home, I had classes today, but yes if my employer said go home with pay I would not complain. :)

But the question remains, why would today be a paid day off?

Iwire,
Because the boss says so. He determines what is and is not. My current boss calls it a working day.

That line of reasoning will cost you Christmas vacation as well. Be careful what you complain about. ;)

I can't vote. There is not a choice that indicates, "Retired, always off work with pay."

I voted, but since I'm the company, every day I don't work is a non-paid day off. Lately, I've had a lot of those. It's been nice and I could see me doing a lot more of it.

Edit: If I do a lot more of it, I guess I'll have to come up with a new handle.

If you do, perhaps we can request that the webmaster allow you to maintain your posting history. For a fee, of course. ;)

Same here if I don't work I don't make any money. With that said today is a light working day for me. Sales because it's something I can do by myself.

480, I watched a little of the Dogs play. I was watching Davidson, a small college just south of me, they actually won. I couldn't believe they made it into the NCAA tournament not to mention win.

Wow, you must be an old guy to know Richard Boone (Paladin). I believe the last movie I saw him in was The Shootist with John Wayne.

My vote would be a combination of 1&2

yes, but not very hard (as usual)

We only get 8 holidays a year, and this ain't one!;)

The re-runs were on when I was a kid and this was certainly a classic. "Alias Smith & Jones" is more my childhood era.

As far as old guy, I have to keep moving the fence line on that definition. Problem is, it seems like I have to move it more frequently. I think the clocks are faster than they used to be.
