Ground and Bond wire

Then it gets a little fuzzy but not too bad.

Bonding means connected together, all metallic parts need to be bonded together. Equipment grounding is a way to clear a fault.

If you bond all of your EMT then it can be an equipment grounding conductor.

If you are running MC then you need to bond your EGC to the metal jboxes so that if there is a fault in the box the green wire can do its job.

Hi All, is the Bond wire and equipment grounding the same conductor?

On the job I am likely to say ground or bond or hot and neutral but when we are talking about the code it is vital that we use the same terms as the NEC does and the place to start with that is always article 100.

So that said, which use of the word 'bond wire' do you have in mind?

Bonded (Bonding). Connected to establish electrical continuity
and conductivity.

Bonding Conductor or Jumper. A reliable conductor to
ensure the required electrical conductivity between metal
parts required to be electrically connected.

Bonding Jumper, Equipment. The connection between two
or more portions of the equipment grounding conductor.

Bonding Jumper, Main. The connection between the
grounded circuit conductor and the equipment grounding
conductor at the service.

Bonding Jumper, System. The connection between the
grounded circuit conductor and the supply-side bonding
jumper, or the equipment grounding conductor, or both, at a
separately derived system.

Grounding Conductor, Equipment (EGC). The conductive
path(s) installed to connect normally non–current-carrying
metal parts of equipment together and to the system grounded
conductor or to the grounding electrode conductor, or both.

Informational Note No. 1: It is recognized that the equipment
grounding conductor also performs bonding.

Informational Note No. 2: See 250.118 for a list of acceptable
equipment grounding conductors.

I am thinking the Bonding Conductor because they are both connecting normally non current metal parts to the system grounded conductor or the grounding electrode conductor.
That's one of problems with the trade we tend to through terms around randomly, especially fittings, boxes plates etc.
