For an upcoming underground feed to an outdoor CSED, PG&E (our local electrical utility) requires a grounding clamp with an integral conduit hub (the ground wire must be encased in rigid conduit - ½” in this case). For any of the clamps I have found (e.g. T&B/Blackburn JP-12), the smallest clamped water pipe size is ½” (0.84” O.D.). I need to clamp to a 5/8” ground rod, so the smallest listed clamp will not engage with the rod’s diameter. Can anyone suggest a specific grounding clamp to accommodate a ½” RMC conduit and a 5/8” ground rod?

Are you looking for a single piece to bond a 1/2" RGC to a 5/8" rod driven right next to the conduit?

If so, you can't use two clamps joined by a jumper? Can you post a pic?

Can't post a picture, since the project has not yet been started. Yes, looking for an integrated (not necessarily one-piece) product, like that shown, except capable of gripping a 5/8" rod. The 1/2" conduit is vertical and parallel to the ground rod, offset ~1" +/-.

That's easy. Flip the lower half of the pipe clamp.

That's why it's shaped like it is.

More amazingly is how often the little "trick" is not applied in the field resulting in a loose clamp.
