Hello
Client is using ground pads on their industrial installation.
They want to globalize their design and are asking if one ground pad can be used for NEC and IEC installation.
Any inside to what the difference would be or if one size fits all is possible?

Thank you
M

Most here are not familiar with the IEC.
What is a ground pad and its purpose?
What type of industrial facility?

It's really just a metal piece with a bunch of screws.

The run the equipment ground to those pads which are installed to the concrete.

Could be for example an LNG processing, everything with turbines.

The NEC does not require ground pads. It only mandates an egc in the power supply circuit. Other NFPA codes may require a ground pad, but that I don’t know. I suspect the issue is in how the IEC does ground vs the NEC. Could you install a ground pad per the NEC? Yes, it would be considered an an auxiliary grounding electrode, but you would still need the egc
I am unfamiliar with the IEC so unable to further comment
