my electrical engineer made me rework some ground rods becouse he said they were too close.my service rods are 4 10' sectinal rods so that is 2 20' ground rods that are seperated by 10'. I also have a gound grid for lightning protection spaced about 30' around the building. were lp rods come down back side of the building one of the lp rods fell out 15' from my service rod.my engineer says that is a code violation plus the rods being so close would cancel each other out!is he correct or is he pulling something out of his A!!!!! please help!

Re: ground rods

I don't know what the NEC says about this, but ground rods are most effective if they are at least one rod length apart.
