Ground rods

Is there a maximum distance the ground rods can be from the main disconnect? I don't think so but I can't find anything. Thanks for any help.
 
No, the exact opposite point on the globe, that would be the farthest it could get without driving it on the moon - which is no doubt going to be required in the 2011 NEC.

(With all due respect to Bob, I had to Google it, but I suspected what he was after. ;) )

To test it you need to be about 6.2 times the distance for your potential rod and about 10 times for your current rod. So you would need a test rod on Mars and one on Jupiter, not to mention some pretty long test leads.

LOL I used the measuring tool in Google Earth to measure it, when I realized it, My bad:cool:

Been too long out of school for me:D

Playing with Google Earth is addicting, I love mapping
