EXH. 250.28 NEC 2002. CAN YOU RUN SEPARATE #6 WIRES CONTINUOS FROM EACH SERVICE DIRECTLY TO ONE SET OF GROUND RODS?

Re: groundig electrode onductor

Trip, I don't understand what 250.28 has to do with your question, per the title of your thread, you are talking about the GEC, not the Main Bonding Jumper. What is the application? Are you talking about multiple services on one building or say a group of houses fed from one transformer?

In either case there is nothing prohibiting this, but I'm still curious as to the reason for the question.

ROGER I DIDN'T MAKE IT REAL CLEAR. EXH. 250.28 2002 HANDBOOK. I'VE GOT BACK TO BACK SERVICES ON ONE POLE IN A TRL. PARK FEED FROM A SINGLE DROP. IT IS ALLOWED TO TAP THE GROUNDING ELECTRODE CONDUCTOR. IS IT OK TO BRING A SINGLE CONTINUOS #6 FROM EACH SERVICE TO A SET OF SHARED ELECTRODES.

Re: groundig electrode onductor

Trip, hang in there, you'll get this down pat.

There is nothing prohibiting using one Grounding Electrode (set of rods) for this installation.

If you were to use two sets of rods, you would need to connect them to keep them at equalpotential anyways.

Re: groundig electrode onductor

Thanks again, the project is a trl. park, there replacing 6 gang enclosure that are 125 amp, by installing 3 poles and replacing the 125amps with 200amps with the required space for extra breakers, there doing this as each trl. is moved in, ok first pole beside gang- installed required two ground rods, do i bond these to the one at the gang. (two rods at first pole #6 gec out of the service disc. of other poles to the rods at first pole___is that ok)(6 gang and poles feed by the same overheaad drop)
