I bought a new dishwasher which came with a plastic (non metallic) j-box with just two wire (black and white). I have a armour (metallic cable) with two wires from the panelboard. Can these wires be connected through plastic box to dishwasher wires? Or, you need a separate ground wire?

Re you sure there is no ground screw? It is hard to imagine the entire dishwasher has no metal parts. If the old bx cable does not have a small metal wire run within the armor then the cable cannot be used as an egc
