grounding a TVSS in a wellhouse

I am installing a TVSS in a wellhouse that is 100 feet from the home. Will the equipment grounding conductor suffice for my TVSS ground or should I find another means of grounding the TVSS?

Yes, but make sure you drive rods, bond well casings, water lines etc and tie them all to the EG.

What is the TVSS protecting?

I am protecting the well pump and the home which is 100 feet away. I put a TVSS at the service and sub panels but would also like to have one at the well house to keep the surges from coming into the home via the circuit conductors.

Two is generally the minimum, but refer to 250.50 & 250.52 for details.
