Grounding of a metalic building

It is obligatory by the NEC to groung the metalic structure of a building of offices 2 levels? it is obligatory or convinient to put a net(what size?) under de building to create the grounding sistem of the electrical service ?Thanks

In the NYS codes, there is documentation that actually deals with metal buildings, including the metal roofs. I will search for it later and post it.

You must be referring to E3509.1 in the RCNYS or 2701.1 BCNYS which refers to NEC 2005, 250.104(C).
I also think the OP is referring to a ground ring (he's calling it a "net"). I do not think the OP is directly involved in the electrical industry by the framing of his questions...time will tell...
