If you were to connecting your grounding system in the meter can . Do you need to run a ground wire from the meter to the main binding jumper in the MBP
That’s what I thought because other wise I’ll be creating objectionable current correct ? I’m just trying to explain to a buddy of mine . He’s a bit old schoolNo, the neutral is all you need.
Roger
But that would create a possibility for objectionable current to happen correct ?It's not objectionable current so to say, it's creating a parallel neutral.
Welcome to the forums.

250.6 Objectionable Current.
(A) Arrangement to Prevent Objectionable Current. The grounding of electrical systems, circuit conductors, surge arresters, surge-protective devices, and conductive normally non–current-carrying metal parts of equipment shall be installed and arranged in a manner that will prevent objectionable current.
Ok perfect that’s all I need . Thank you guysThe NEC calls it objectionable current because as Roger stated it creates a parallel path for the neutral current.
