I have a 200 amp service in a steel frame building. Does the building have to be grounded and if so what size copper wire should I use and how should I make the connection. Thanks
I'm not sure about this one, your profile says you are an electrician, shouldn't you know this.Does the building have to be grounded and if so what size copper wire should I use and how should I make the connection.
I've worked with many electricians who wouldn't know this. It doesn't make them bad electricians. I've heard guys say, if it's not on the print than it doesn't get installed. I'm not saying that it's right but I've seen it quite often. Obviously Mr. Buck was looking for some information and he should feel like he's come to the right place. Just my opinion.Originally posted by Jhr:

doesn't make them a bad one, but it sure scares heck out of you wondering what else they don't knowI've worked with many electricians who wouldn't know this. It doesn't make them bad electricians.
Hmmm. Maybe we should implement an electrical inspection program.Originally posted by augie47:
