Thanks RogerNot a big deal just aggravating. Their forms are identical to others such as the FBI's but, if you use the FBI's fingerprint form the GSA will not accept it so make sure you are using the right paper work.
I am assuming you mean GSA clearance, if not, nevermind.

Thanks Roger

Thanx Kwire. I've have a D&B #. Will look into it.:thumbsup:Go to SAM.gov and register. Cost's nothing, application may take an hour or so depending on what information you may need to gather.
You possibly need to register for a Duns number first (Dun & Bradstreet), but that is also reasonably simple. The organization that required me to register told me I needed to get a DUNS number first - may not have to but if anything makes it easier to register with SAM from what I understand.
How long it takes to have your application approved may depend on what comes up with information you submitted, but the initial application process isn't too painful.
Once you are registered you will get emails almost immediately from companies wanting to find you government jobs - for a fee of course, so just be warned that you may not be interested in some of those. Some will be cleverly worded to make you think you still have steps to finish with registering and want fees to do this for you - but registering with SAM doesn't cost anything so beware.
I registered earlier this year because of a project that received federal assistance required registration to fulfill a contract.
