Hand Held Remote for Lighting

A church pastor wants a hand held remote for some lighting in his choir loft. Preferably capable of 2,000 watts or so. Have any of you seen or used remotes of any kind? I've seen the ones for ceiling fans. Some of them are OK, some are junk.
