Handhole question

I have to install a couple handholes my question is what article covers the minimum requirements? And also is there a mi um depth a handhole has to be?

I went to look this up, and I see 314.30 and 314.28. For sizing, you need to determine if any of the conductors #4 or larger.

Splices will have to be rated for a wet location, and the manufacturers instructions will probably require a gravel bed under the handhole.

and depending on where you install it, it may have to be traffic rated.
