Three of my four brothers served in the army, and two of my three sisters married military men. Of eight kids, I was the one that was the right age to have been involved in the Vietnam War. But it ended ten days before I graduated from college and was commissioned an Ensign in the US Navy. I am proud to be able to report that I am now a retired Commander in the US Navy Reserves. To all of you who have served, and who still serve, in our armed forces, or who have family members in the military, I offer my gratitude and my best wishes.
