Has NC Started Enforcing the 2020 NEC?

Does anyone know whether or not North Carolina has begun enforcing the 2020 NEC? I just upgraded a service and forgot to call the inspector to see if they were still going by the 2017 code or were now using the 2020.

Enforcing? They haven't adopted it. To my knowledge, the scheduled date is October 1, 2021 but that is only the current proposal. It is not yet officially enacted.

That is correct but I am pretty certain that date along with the new amendments will happen as written.

This says proposed but insiders say it is a go. I believe June 8, 2021 is the adoption date but not effective to Oct 1, 2021
