Why does everyone make Star Trek referances to me? this is my college grad Picture.................. (oh..... how I really wish I was Jim kirk ,and why wont he ansewer my letters )

I can picture it, but not sure how it would look in words......what was this thread about?
 
This forum is running slow quite a bit, a lot more than just "normal downtime". It does get frustrating.

It's also nice to be able to edit posts whenever you'd like. Say you misspoke about something and didn't find out about it a day or 2 later. Someone reading the thread from the beginning (or looking for a quick answer to something) might not catch the mistake and take it for the truth, thus spreading misinformation.

If you notice a mistake in your post after someone has replied to it (and after a day or two and I would think that would definitely be the case in an active thread) it wouldn't be proper to edit it, you would simply mention the mistake in another post.

This is the reason for the edit time limit, people changing or deleting portions of posts after others have replied leaving the conversation nonsensical.

HI.. more of a question from me, who has a website & do u get much of a response as far as new work from it?I have a cple different companies calling me to get me to set up a site.They will set it up for free & maintain it but for monthly cost that I dnt know how much yet.? just curious what luck others have had with theres.? seems to me tho? If I was looking for electrician? I wud open the phone book first? thanks as always for the help.

For an electrical business, once you set up the site what is there to maintain?

At home, we use GoDaddy.com and we built the site on a Mac notebook computer in about 3 hours and uplaoded it with Fetch. It takes about an hour worth of maintenance a month, if that. The biggest obstacle/trick is getting the darn search engines to recognize the site so it comes up.
