Have you ever seen this in attic?

I seen something that to me looked bad. It appears to be an AC micro inverter install with this going thru attic. It appears that AC string output penetrates directly into attic and combines on a roof box with greenfield out back of box then from attic to outside of house.

I guess romex in attic is ok it appears to go to roof box being AC but install looks terrible.

Yes it is a sloppy job for sure and probably not to code. What is that white tape or marking on the orange cable in the 2nd picture?
Appears to cover a Knick. I guess since the romex goes to a rooftop box if you want to be picky that could be a violation. Just looked terrible

Other than being a sloppy install, (and that definitely is) it's not against code to run NM cable to a roof box for a microinverter system. It also doesn't have to be marked because it's an ac system.
