hi again
question on pvc, emt underslab under the dental area, and this is just for conduit serving the dental area. all conductors are in emt. i got that. and we do this mainly because of grounding. now how about data and telephone wire. i am looking in artical 800,communication circuits, it sayes that this has to be grounded, so if that is the case, that also has to be in emt. yes, no. thank you, any help out there.

running pvc for data and telephone, can we get away with just running a ground wire

Metal conduit is only required for branch circuits in patient care areas (517.13) and emergency power systems for hospitals (517.30(C)(3)).

I think you are OK with PVC.

What part of the data and phone are you planning on grounding ? Use plastic mud ring or data cutin ring and there is nothing to even ground

sleepy, what part of the article are you looking at. telephone, and data are grounded where they enter the building or begin, not at every box.

Your telephone sys and data patch panel should be grounded. Any lighting protection is grounded, There is nothing to ground at the end. See ANSI 568 A/B

Sure, but I don't think anything is going to work that well with just a ground wire connected.
